Pyramid Technology Services supports and is on the board of directors for Highfield Hall, a magnificently restored 1878 home of the Beebe family, now transformed into a vibrant center of cultural and community activity on upper Cape Cod.
The Unitarian Universalist Urban Ministry,which has worked to empower Boston’s underprivileged citizens through education and advocacy, is another institution important to Pyramid . This organization strives to provide the necessary support so that individuals may overcome disadvantaged circumstances through their own strengths and abilities. Over its 180-year history, the Urban Ministry has created many channels to conduct its work in addressing social issues, including settlement houses and chapels, affordable housing, community centers and service programs. UU Urban Ministry programs are designed according to the specific needs of individuals and communities; while continuing to serve Boston’s most disadvantaged people.
Pyramid Technology’s officers have long been members of the board of directors for Open Table, which provides weekly community supper programs and pantries in Concord and Maynard, Massachusetts for more than 225 guests, including many children. Open Table’s mission is to address hunger and social isolation, while respecting the privacy and dignity of guests, who are served in a welcoming community of support.
Pyramid is proud of its membership on the board of directors for the Cape Cod Theatre Project, which supports exciting voices in American theater in one of the most beautiful locations in the country, Cape Cod Massachusetts. The Project’s mission is to contribute to the vitality of American Theater by developing new American plays, bringing audiences into the development process, and administering an intern program to encourage a new generation of theater devotees.
In 2011 Pyramid Technology Services created 1GiantStep.org in an efforts to provide funds to assist students with text book purchases.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is another institution that has received financial support from Pyramid Technology Services. This institution has played a seminal role in developing therapies for the treatment of children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. With research and patient care under one roof, St. Jude has become an important center for fostering collaboration between great scientists.
Pyramid Technology Services has long supported the important work done by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), the world’s largest humanitarian organization. The IFRC provides assistance without discrimination as to nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions and carries out relief operations to assist victims of disasters. It focuses on four core areas: promoting humanitarian values, disaster response, disaster preparedness, and health and community care.
